Key Initiatives:  

  • Partners with the designated business units to support the development and implementation of HR strategies that result in the improvement of the business unit’s performance
  • Deliver value-added client focus and service in all aspects of human resources

Role and Responsibilities:  

  • Consulting:
    • Develop trusted relationships with lines of business to achieve business and HR goals
    • Maintain an open dialogue with clients and line managers regarding HR programs, policies and procedures to ensure they satisfy business needs.
    • Support the driving of the performance management process and utilize the results as a basis for establishing specific, measurable and achievable objectives and development plans
  • HR Compliance:
    • Responsible for ensuring compliance required by country-specific law and local governing bodies
    • Good understanding of and support the administration of HR policies and procedures within the business unit and ensure compliance with local laws
  • Strategic HR:
    • Collaborates and interfaces with business units to obtain input and recommendations regarding strategic HR direction to increase organizational effectiveness
    • Supports implementation of HR change management strategies with the business units.  Communicate effectively to ensure alignment of the business unit talent planning process with strategic initiatives
    • Act as an advocate for team members and business units to ensure HR services meet or exceed expectations
    • Support the implementation of new HR policies and programs within the business units
    • Provides unbiased perspectives and solutions after obtaining additional knowledge regarding issues and concerns that have been escalated
  • HR Data & Technology Management:
    • Partners with centralized HR functions to leverage HRIS data mining and reporting capabilities
    • Presents reports, as needed, to business units regarding key performance indices to support decision making
  • Problem Solving:
    • Works on HR problems that range broadly in scope; adopting a global perspective
    • Engages/leads and collaborates with cross-functional teams to assist in the process of problem solving
    • Identifies and recommends solutions and alternatives to resolve problems with appropriate escalation where needed. 
  •  Others:

Education and Qualifications:  

  • BA or BS degree, preferably in a subject related to Business or Human Resource Management
  • Minimum 2-3 years HR experience in a client facing, consultative or generalist role

Preferred Skills:  

  • Good generalist HR experience with advantage on cross-border HR
  • Effectively advise business on use of self as instrument, competence, credibility, sense of relevance/ urgency etc.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly matrixed organization
  • Written and oral fluency in English and may be other Asian dialect
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • HR Professional Skills:
    • Adaptability: ability to adjust to change to ensure effectiveness within new work structures, processes, and requirements, or cultures
    • Communication: Able to clearly convey information and ideas through a variety of media to individuals and groups in a manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the message
    • Personal Leadership:  Able to use appropriate interpersonal styles and techniques to gain acceptance of ideas or plans; modifies one’s own behavior to accommodate tasks, situations, and individuals involved
  • Problem Solving:
    • Works on HR problems that range broadly in scope; adopting a global perspective
    • Engages/leads and collaborates with cross-functional teams to assist in the process of problem solving
    • Identifies and recommends solutions and alternatives to resolve problems with appropriate escalation where needed.
