Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day first line end-user support
  • Participate in helpdesk projects and implementation work
  • Assist in negotiation with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors on pricing, procurement and requirement on desktop equipment
  • Responsible for PC desktop equipment procurement, delivery, installation and setup as well as invoice payment
  • Responsible for keep tracking IT assets with proper inventory control on record keeping, maintenance and related documentation
  • Responsible for market data user and customer account setup, installation, maintenance, record keeping and cost allocations on payment
  • Liaise with customers to diagnose and report on IT problems
  • Required to provide on-call support and work outside office hours

Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent. Candidate with lower educational qualification will also be considered if with relevant experience
  • Minimum 2 years working experience in Information Technology areas
  • Knowledge and experience in first-line user and technical support with strong skill in trouble-shooting and soft-skill is a must
  • Working experience in financial service industry (preferably in investment bank, securities house, brokerage firm) a definite advantage
  • Knowledge and experience in using Windows desktop and domain administration, inventory management system, software deployment system; McAfee DLP & antivirus preferred
  • Good understanding of trading and market data facilities such as Bloomberg, AAStocks, ET-Net, etc. an added advantage
  • Knowledge and experience in email system especially Lotus Notes an added advantage
  • Ability to manage disparate demands from multiple customers
  • Ability to work with geographically diverse workforce
  • Meticulous and methodical in creating solutions with strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Team player, independent, self-starter, motivated, multitasking and able to take initiative to get projects completed
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese with fluency in Mandarin; knowledge of Simplified Chinese a plus
