Job Description

Role Overview

We are looking for an IT Officer/ Manager with exemplary customer service. You will be the primary contact for all technical and IT related queries for all the systems onsite. As such, we are looking for an all-rounder who loves problem-solving and thrives on learning new and different technologies. You will also be a strong completer-finisher, with a desire to respond to all queries in a timely and professional manner. This position would be an ideal step up for someone who is keen to progress from desktop support. 

You will report directly into the Overseas Support Manager in Shanghai. You will work in a collaborative way to implement best practice IT solutions while maintaining the ongoing customer service. 

Core Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintaining the normal operation of Trip.com's internal clients;
  • Responsible for hardware malfunction handling, such as client, network, telephone line, printer, etc.;
  • Maintain and support the internal client application systems;
  • Responding to client requests and requirements in a timely manner;
  • The distribution, installation and troubleshooting of the client batch software;
  • Responsible for cabling within the site and liaising with external suppliers as necessary;
  • Set-up, control and maintain as necessary the security systems, computer room distribution, room air conditioning, computer room, environmental monitoring;
  • Assist in ad hoc assigned projects;
  • Assist in office decoration.

Key Qualifications and Experience

Essential

  • Degree at Bachelors level in a computer related discipline or equivalent experience;
  • A good grounding of providing high volume, fast-paced desktop support;
  • Has CCNA Certification or equivalent experience;
  • Familiar with security systems, computer room distribution, room air conditioning, computer room, and environmental monitoring and a desire to learn new and different technologies in these fields;
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PPT, Project, Visio, etc.);
  • Adept in configuration management and routine maintenance of the AD, mainstream Windows and Mac systems, and mobile systems;
  • Good at communicating with others in a proactive manner;
  • Passionate about new technologies and a demonstrable enthusiasm in keeping up-to-date with latest trends and solutions;
  • Previous experience of sourcing and managing external suppliers;
  • Solid IT service process experience.

Desirable

  • Some previous ITIL process execution experience;
  • Previous experience of operating in a standalone IT Support role;
  • Ability to speak Englishnecessaryor Chinese languages.
