Job Description

You will work on studies, investigations, designs and reports on geotechnical aspects of local and oversea infrastructure and private development projects ranging from major tunnel and underground works, foundations, reclamation as well as road, rail and other developments;

 Your Next Challenge

  • Have a central role in the analysis of geotechnical conditions and development of engineering designs to address these as part of the planning, design and implementation of major infrastructure and buildings works
  • Interpretation of ground conditions, evaluate design assumptions, and use this in undertaking design calculations
  • Undertake tunnel, geotechnical and structural design works as required using suites of appropriate software, including numerical analysis, for inclusion in reports and production of detailed design drawings
  • Support our geotechnical specialists in analysing geotechnical situations and developing appropriate, cost effective design solutions
  • Station in client’s office for design and coordination works;
  • Work on oversea project and coordinate with colleagues in oversea offices
  • As a Technically Competent Person (TCP) T3 or T5 in construction sites to supervise geotechnical works including ground investigation, site formation and tunnelling works
  • As a coordinator in design office and coordinate with Residential Site Staffs in Government projects  
  • Give guidance to graduate and assistant engineers

What You’ll Need

  • Degree holder in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering or related disciplines. A Master’s degree may be an advantage
  • Corporate Membership of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers or equivalent in Civil or Geotechnical discipline, Qualification of Registered Professional Engineer (Geotechnical) (RPE(G)) is an advantage
  • Minimum 4 years’ post-graduate working experience in geotechnical or tunnel engineering, candidates with more experience will be considered as  Senior Engineer
  • Good knowledgeable in engineering software and applications
  • Well developed skills in CAD and BIM drawings will be an advantage
  • A willingness and enthusiasm to learn, a drive to deliver your work and good time management skills
  • Good command of spoken and written English, and ideally Cantonese
