The incumbent is responsible for assisting the Head in conducting institutional research and other related data analysis that support the Academy’s strategic planning and managerial decision-making. Major tasks include designing, conducting, and coordinating research projects; assisting the Head in maintaining the Academy data warehouse and producing data analytics; and other tasks assigned by the Head.
(a) Have a master’s degree in relevant disciplines, e.g., education, educational psychology, management, educational psychology, statistics, computer science, or data science;
(b) Have at least 5 years of experience in designing, implementing and managing qualitative and quantitative research or consultancy projects, with a solid understanding in any one of the relevant areas: Management in Higher Education, Educational Research, Learning Analytics;
(c) Have proficiency in MS Office, SPSS, and data visualization tools, e.g., MS Power BI;
(d) Be able to effectively present data analysis to non-technical audiences in English and Chinese;
(e) Be committed to meeting deadline and quality standard of research output; and
(f) Be able to collaborate with others and coach junior staff effectively.
TERMS OF APPOINTMENT
Appointment will be on a 2-year contract. A gratuity payment equal up to 15% of basic salary earned during the contract period will be payable upon satisfactory completion of contract. Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental benefits. Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
