Job Description


  • Manages a team of local and offshore resources to overview project/product development in order to deliver successful system implementation on time
  • Acts as a liaison between internal users and IT in all aspects in system development.
  • Analyzes user requirements, their existing system workflow and procedures
  • Assists supervisor to prepare project documents e.g. work schedules, test methodology and review test results
  • Conducts program coding, testing and prepares system documents that adhere both deadlines and procedures of work
  • Provides continuous improvement for existing systems and streamlines software development process to control software integrity
  • Works with assigned Business Units and users to understand/review/integrate user requirements and to propose IT solutions
  • Implements IT solutions to meet user requirements and Company strategic directions
  • Participates in quality management reviews
  • Ensures smooth production run of application systems
  • Analyzes technical issues and devises & provides cost effective solutions
  • Provides training to upgrade IT knowledge on business and applications
  • Conducts research on new IT technology and prepares reports and recommendations
  • Leads small / medium-sized projects, prepares and monitors project schedule
  • Propose on IT practices on application development and system support
  • Propose the feasibility of System Upgrades (OS, application framework and SDK etc.)
  • Identifying / recommending good performers and assessing their ability as potential successors for the responsible area
  • Trains staff for enhancing overall knowledge on business, applications and technical knowledge
  • Ensures deliverables and systems comply with all applicable standards and guidelines
  • Performs other responsibilities and duties assigned by managers to meet business objectives
  • Proactively gets updated of the latest Mobile implementation and drives for implementation
  • Ensure team members who perform regulated activities have obtained the relevant licenses and fulfilled the licensing requirements


  • University / College graduate in computer science
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience
  • Preferably with knowledge on Insurance industry
  • Preferably with experience on Cloud technology
  • At least 4 years’ experience is at the supervisory role leading team of development work
  • Experience in web development using Angular/React/Vue, AEM, Java Spring Boot, node.js and MongoDB.
  • Experience in API Development and Microservices Architecture Design.
  • Experience in identify access management and authentication standards like OAuth, OpenID connect or SAML.
  • Experience in CRM solutions like MS Dynamics, Salesforce or SugarCRM.
  • Experience in Cloud Adoption using Microsoft Azure or AWS.
  • Experience in Container technology like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience in MS SQL, Sybase, Oracles, WebSphere and JBoss
  • You are required to obtain relevant license if your job involves in regulated activities
