The HKUST Entrepreneurship Center (EC) supports innovation and entrepreneurship in the HKUST community (students, alumni, faculties and staff). It drives initiatives and provides support to foster an entrepreneurial culture and spirit. Through direct engagement and partnership, the Center strives to nurture value-creating entrepreneurs for the economic and social development of Hong Kong and beyond.
The Center is searching for a dynamic and passionate individual to fill the position of Officer (Project). It is an ideal opportunity for one to enrich the understanding of innovation and entrepreneurship development in HKUST and Hong Kong, and to facilitate the career development in this exciting and promising area. The appointee will work in a young and dynamic team to deliver and achieve results collectively with defined schedule. He/She will provide administrative and logistics support for activities in the Center such as entrepreneurship programs, services, events, competitions, workshops, seminars, talks and forums; assist in the promotion, administration and operation of funds for student innovation and entrepreneurship; provide advice to students; manage data and prepare reports; handle social media promotion and write-up; and perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned from time to time.
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree with at least 1 year of relevant work experience. Experience in entrepreneurship, event management and/or marketing publicity will be an advantage. Ideal candidates should be self‐motivated with a strong sense of responsibility and a keen interest to work with young people in a dynamic team. The appointee should be well-organized, open minded, attentive to details, and forward-looking with a positive personality. He/She should act as a good team player with the ability to work independently and flexibly, and be able to handle multiple tasks. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with high proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua), and knowledge in graphic design applications and MS Office applications are essential. Working outside normal office hours/at weekends, and travels outside Hong Kong may be required. (Duration: 1 year)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.
