Job Description

WPB Chief Operating Office - WPB Business Financial Crime and Regulatory Risk

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as WPB Business Financial Crime Risk (BFCR) Manager

Principal Responsibilities

The jobholder should have in depth knowledge and significant experience in financial crime, regulatory risk, products and services, customer experience, process and procedure, systems, controls and excellent communication skills to undertake a series of WPB business financial crime and regulatory risk.  

  • Support Financial Crime Risk Management activities including AML, Sanctions, Fraud, Tax, etc.
  • Provide support to ongoing implementation of tax transparency standards (e.g. CRS, FATCA)
  • Support Name Screening tasks including remediation, MSII/Audit and ad hoc projects initiated by country, ASP, and Group
  • Drive self-initiated risk based thematic review (e.g. PCAI health check/ ASP FCR sharing) & support ad hoc review on customers from PCAI, Payment Control and Correspondent Bank RFIs
  • Work with FCC/FCTM on Transaction Monitoring and local triggers development based on latest review and FCR intelligence
  • Collaborate and maintain good working relationship with internal stakeholders to ensure all the deliverables are achieved smoothly within scheduled timelines.
  • Provide accurate and timely project updates regularly to Head of Business Financial Crime and Regulatory Risk / Manager WPB Business Financial Crime and Regulatory Risk
  • Support Head of Business Financial Crime and Regulatory Risk / Manager WPB Business Financial Crime and Regulatory Risk to execute the WPB Financial Crime and Regulatory Risk activities at pace and with minimum conflict; and analyse stakeholder goals and effectively manage their expectations, addressing any misalignment. 
  • Ensure tasks/initiatives adhere to both internal and external regulatory requirements, Local and Group policies and standards and minimise general risk to the Group.


  • University degree in a related discipline with a minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience
  • Proven record of effective management in Financial Crime Risk, project planning, decision making, and identifying priorities
  • Sufficient business understanding of WPB objectives and operating model as well as Group policies and standards
  • Execute and deliver project tasks within budgets, time scales and of high quality of output
  • Able to cope with pressure and tight deadlines and be change oriented
  • Able to work and resolve issues independently
  • Attentiveness to details
  • Ability to build connections and work collaboratively within WPB and across line of businesses
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organization skills
  • Proficiency in both English and Chinese
