The HKUST MBA Office is searching for a capable candidate to fill the position of Assistant Manager (Career and Alumni Development) in MBA Programs. The appointee will drive and deliver corporate development initiatives in order to build and develop corporate partnership across industries and create more internship and graduate placement opportunities for MBA students. The appointee will focus on the following areas:
- Corporate and Employer Outreach: Identify and develop new corporate partnership opportunities in Hong Kong and regional business hubs to provide job opportunities for students. Nurture existing relationships and maintain continuous engagement with corporate partners.
- Student Engagement for Driving Job Placement: Draw insights about job market and trends in MBA hiring and provide advice to students through mass communications and one-to-one setting to enhance students' knowledge about job market and readiness for driving overall job placement rate for full-time MBA students.
- Program Management: Lead training programs and career services for part-time MBA students. Ensure quality of the program and meaningful engagement of the students.
- Ad-hoc Tasks: Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to support ad-hoc projects or administrative tasks according to seasonal team needs.
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of post-qualification work experience. The appointee should be capable of dealing with a wide range of stakeholders including corporate partners, and both full-time and part-time MBA students who are of different demographic backgrounds. The ideal candidate should be results-driven with a strong sense of ownership, can-do attitude, and good interpersonal skill. He/She should possess strong business acumen and be confident in communicating with senior executives. Candidates with experience in B2B business development, and knowledge in one of the key industries like Technology or Consulting will be an advantage. Passion in education industry is a plus. An excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese is a must. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required. Working outside normal office hours and on occasional Saturdays will be required.(Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
