Job Description

The Job

  • To assist in supervising and monitoring the operations of ORSO schemes and conduct ongoing assessments on their compliance with the legislation and other regulatory requirements with different regulatory tools such as on-site / off-site reviews;
  • To assist in formulating and drafting operational procedures and policies and supervisory plans for on-site / off-site reviews;
  • To review non-compliance reports, conduct preliminary investigations and prepare reports to make recommendations to the Management;
  • To ensure proper handling of enquiries and complaints relating to ORSO schemes;
  • To liaise with other departments to refer cases for investigation and taking of enforcement actions;
  • To manage the preparation of management reports and statistics;
  • To supervise and coach the subordinates; and
  • To perform other duties as assigned by the Management.

 

The Person

  • A recognized degree, preferably majoring in accounting, finance, law, or equivalent;
  • At least eight years of relevant experience in legal or regulatory compliance, retirement schemes / pensions, or auditing, of which at least four years at supervisory level;
  • Relevant experience gained from financial institutions / regulators or reputable consultancy / advisory firms is an advantage;
  • Excellent presentation, report writing and influencing skills;
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, quantitative and problem solving skills;
  • Mature, proactive, open-minded, a good team player and able to work under pressure and independently; and
  • Strong sense of mission and desire to develop a career in a regulatory role.

 

Candidates with less experience may be considered for appointment as Assistant Manager.

 

Remuneration Package

A competitive remuneration and benefits package including a discretionary performance-linked variable pay, annual leave, medical, dental and life insurance coverage, and MPF will be offered. All new appointments will be made on a two-year fixed-term contract initially prior to consideration for appointment on a non-fixed-term basis.
