Assist in the setting up a new laboratory and provision of related facilities, operation and maintenance of the laboratory, procurement of laboratory equipment and regents; manage inventory of laboratory equipment and items; maintain and operate all shared laboratory facilities; establish and maintain laboratory standard operating procedures; and assist in the R&D projects where required.
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in science and/or engineering disciplines, at least 3-4 years’ relevant experience; knowledge in neuroscience, stem cell culture and genomics will be an asset. A team player with a strong sense of responsibility, independent, good interpersonal and problem solving skills; knowledge in laboratory management, laboratory building services, electrical and mechanical services is preferable; knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of laboratory testing; ability to operate standard laboratory testing equipment; knowledge of safe laboratory practices, laboratory safety equipment and safety management; and competent in MS Office.

Salary will be commensurate with qualification and experience. Medical and dental benefits as well as annual leave will be provided. Appointment will be offered on a contract basis, renewable subject to mutual agreement and performance.
