Job Description

Our client, a leading bank, is looking for Manager, Collateral Valuation to join their credit team to cope with the bank's expansion.


Job Description:

  • Timely review the external rating of the collateral submitted for financing business application; evaluate its rationality and provide opinions on the collateral valuation.
  • Prepare relevant statistics and analysis for the collateral valuation.
  • Regularly consolidate the practice status of the intermediaries and the external regulatory information, and make a reasonable evaluation of the annual cooperation.
  • Review and compare the transaction prices of similar properties in local market and determine whether the value of the collateral is reasonable, in line with the actual market conditions and acceptable to the Bank.
  • Communicate with relationship manager for the collateral loan application issues and provide further clarification if needed.
  • Keep track on those credit issues that need to be followed up, conduct interim review of accounts that required extra caution.
  • Perform other duties delegated by Section Head.


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree or above in real estate, assets valuation or economics related majors.
  • Professional qualification of Certified Public Valuer.
  • Over 5 years of experience in assets valuation with in-depth knowledge of real estate valuation industry. Experience in financial industry is preferred.
  • Familiar with real estate market conditions in Hong Kong and Mainland, as well as banking law and practical knowledge.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of assets valuation and real estate market transactions.
  • Good analytical and report writing skills with logical credit judgment.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently & under pressure with limited time constraints.
  • Good problem solving ability and tactful inter-personal & communication skills.
  • Good knowledge in PC operation.
  • Good command of written & spoken English and Chinese.
