Job Description

 

Located in Hong Kong, BASF’s Asia Pacific headquarters oversees more than 18,000 employees at about 100 production sites and 125 sales offices across the region. In addition to a number of regional business units, the Hong Kong office also houses regional functional units including Corporate Affairs, Finance and Controlling, Human Resources, Management Consulting, Procurement and Supply Chain Services.  

 

Objectives of the Position 

  • Reporting to Senior Manager, Compensation & Benefit, HR M&A/ Divestiture and Projects Asia Pacific, you will
    • Provide advisory and consultative service on C&B topics to the HR community

    • Participate in C&B cycles in Asia Pacific and regional/ global project implementation including annual salary review, surveys & benefits renewal/ improvement, incentive plans review etc.

    • Develop and implement C&B initiatives, prepare analysis, benchmarking and reports etc in the region, partnering with business on employee attraction and retention 

       

Job Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate and steer annual salary review exercise for all Asia Pacific countries include liaising with consultants for survey data submission & delivery

  • Analyse country economic indicators, market data, and consolidate internal business information etc. to support management approval on salary budget and provide post-merit analysis and reports

  • Partner with country HR and relevant stakeholders in reviewing and renewing local employee benefits scheme; provide support to country in implementing new schemes such as flexible benefit plan if necessary

  • Develop and enhance regional guidelines and best practice, by reviewing market data and trend

  • Develop C&B analytics and metrics to support management decision

  • As regional representative in the global community for selected topics to develop and review respective C&B programs

  • Lead implementation of global and/ or regional policies, projects or initiatives in the Asia Pacific region

      

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related disciplines

  • At least 8 years of HR experience with at least 4 years in C&B specialization

  • Candidate with knowledge of multiple countries practices will be of top priority

  • Able to collaborate and network within matrix and intercultural teams

  • Strong communications skills, analytical with critical and systematic thinking

  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
