Job Description

Community Business is a not-for-profit organisation (Hong Kong Charity Number 91/6560) whose mission is to lead, inspire and support businesses to have a positive impact on people and communities. We are looking for a creative, passionate, energetic Manager to strengthen our marketing and communications efforts targeting at both multinational and local companies. This is a role ideally suited for a professional who is self-motivated and passionate about impacting positive changes.

Key Responsibilities

This is a full-time role, based in Hong Kong and reporting to Senior Manager, Marketing & Communications. Candidates with less experience but high potential may be offered the position of Associate. Responsibilities include but will not be limited to:

• Be knowledgeable and champion Community Business’ overall strategy, positioning and product and service offering.

• Support overall PR & media strategy in line with our business objectives and goals, including print, broadcast and online media.

• Manage and execute all media events including press briefings and interviews.

• Assist with development and implementation of creative marketing and communication strategies, plans and approaches that support our programme of activities including, research, events, programmes and campaigns.

• Draft communication content, including press releases, articles, opinion pieces, blogs, EDMs, statements, media responses, media kit materials, etc.

• Plan and execute social media campaigns.

• Monitor and track engagement trends, audience growth and subscribers lists for all digital marketing channels.

• Identify effective marketing channels including partnerships with local NGOs, chambers of commerce, professional associations and media partners.

• Monitor news coverage across the region and globally that relates to our focus areas to ensure we stay up-to-date, connected and relevant.

• Manage website content updates ensuring consistent web design, monitor web traffic/performance, and prevent, resolve or escalate any system issues.

• Handle ad-hoc projects as required.

Selection Criteria

Candidates should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• Passionate about corporate social responsibility (CSR), diversity and inclusion, and creating a positive impact through working closely with the business sector.

• Degree holder or equivalent, preferably major in Marketing / Media Communication / Public Relations / Journalism.

• Experience working with media, with good business media connections in APAC market an advantage.

• Social media savvy, with a good understanding of how to leverage different social media channels and communication styles to enhance Community Business’ visibility and relevance to our target audiences across Asia.

• Enjoys writing and has excellent English communication skills – oral and written – and in both substance and not only style. Professional level Cantonese and Mandarin will be an advantage.

• Highly organised with good forward planning, project management and time management skills in order to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

• Highly creative and driven to succeed.

• Self-motivated, with ability to work independently under time pressure as well as a strong team player.

• Has a critical mind, thinks creatively and has good problem-solving skills.

• Resilient, able to adapt to different situations and enjoy working in a dynamic, stimulating and fastmoving environment.

• A strong attention to details.

• Proficient in web analytic metrics and reporting.

• High degree of proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and similar platforms, including Chinese (both Traditional and Simplified) word processing.

Salary

Salary will be commensurate with the relevant experience of the successful candidate.
