Job Description

Position Summary

Ensure the proper operations and management of all systems/areas of responsibility assigned to him/ her with focus in support of all other operating departments, provide services as required to the entire operations, and ensure all maintenance are carried out accordingly so as to maintain the freshness and efficiency of all equipment, building and grounds at their optimum conditions. Also to ensure that life safety systems throughout the entire property are, at all times, on their readiness and maintain highest standards.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Keep accurate records and monitor closely all operating expenses to ensure that the budget is adhered to and costs strictly controlled
  • Submit monthly Utilities Consumption Reports on time with highest accuracy
  • Maintain a comprehensive library of manuals and parts list of all operational equipment, as well as a complete set of up to date drawings of all areas and systems
  • Be fully responsible for the operations and maintenance of all Life Safety system; regularly review life safety procedures with Security department. Ensure that all maintenance service of life safety systems are carried out accordingly with highest standards
  • Ensure all regular planned maintenance programs to all E&M systems, guestrooms, public areas, Heart of House are carried out accordingly with highest standards. Also to ensure that the building, grounds, landscape and gardens, road surfaces and car park are inspected regularly as per standards
  • Ensure departmental training programs are conducted and carried out in accordance with our master training plan to all employees for them to perform their duties with maximum efficiency
  • Ensure that employees attend all training and know their duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Company's policies relating to Fire, Safety, Hygiene, and Health
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Report accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions to superiors and relevant departments
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as assigned by superiors from time to time
  • Deep knowledge of steel structures, façade systems, stick systems, unitized
  • Curtain walls, cladding, glazing etc.
  •  Study job specifications to determine appropriate construction methods
  • Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, or cost tracking reports
  • Negotiate contracts for sub-contracting services and/or materials needed
  • Plan, schedule, or coordinate construction project activities to meet deadlines
  • Coordinate on-site activities according to project’s plan while ensuring
  • Compliance with safety regulations / laws, environmental standards
  • Confer with sub-contractors, or design professionals to discuss and resolve
  • Settle matters, such as work procedures, complaints, or construction problems
  • Check feasibility of design ideas, based on factors, modify drawings to match with circumstances, confer with engineering, production, or sales departments,
  • modify designs to conform with customer specifications, production limitations, or
  • changes in design trends
  •  Prepare and deliver final technical proposals to customers
  •  Providing one point of contact for the whole project
  •  Realize project from original concept through final implementation
  • To check all the equipment, vehicles & installation tools required to execute the works is available as per the project planning
  •  To check all technical details and submission of drawing on time for approval
  •  To supervise other site engineers and Foremen & managing the installation at site
  • Understand the client techno-commercial requirements
  • Handing over the work to local authorities by complying with their rules and
  • Requirements
  • Guide Quality Department in Preparing Inspection & Test Plan, Quality Control
  • Procedures and Method statements based on the requirements for fabrication and Installation activates
  • To assist solve all relevant maintenance or project construction issues for façade/ curtain wall and related structure matters




5 - 7 years working experience from a 5-star hotel or large commercial property, industry building, shopping centre in a similar capacity


  • Higher Diploma in Electrical, Building Services, Mechanical, Structural,  Safety or other rated disciplines, or equivalent professional training
  • Candidates without related certificates but with solid experience will also be considered
  • Registered Safety Manager or Officer with local or Hong Kong labour department or registered OSH Manager with a recognized institution is preferred

Skills/Competencies :  

  • Good command in both written and spoken Cantonese/ Mandarin and ability to read and communicate in English
  • Preferably with the 3D software Rhinoceros skill which is used to open 3D models and fabrication drawings
  • Holding of IRATA Internal Rope Access Trade Association Level 3 or above is preferred
  • Working knowledge in computer skills and use of all MS Office applications, including Outlook and PowerPoint presentation
  • Excellent technical knowledge of steel structures, façade systems, stick systems, unitized Curtain walls, cladding, glazing etc.
  • Preferably with AutoCAD drafting skills and other applications, such as, Jobs Order System, Engineering Maintenance Program and Purchasing System
  • Holding of valid Macau Construction Industry Safety Card is an advantage
  • Good leadership and able to make sound decision and perform other duties as and when required very last minute and at time of emergency
  • Excellent interpersonal/ presentation skills are required to deal effectively with all levels of staffs, contractors, suppliers and vendors
  • Hands-on and possess good problem solving skills and attend to details
  • Independent and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Frequently/Occasional ascending or descending ladders and/or ramps and ability to work in high rise site
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work on flexible shift including overnight, weekends and holiday on rotation basis
  • Ability to work on overtime when needed
  • Good health, physically fit and excellence in personal grooming and presentation
  • Software: AutoCAD 2D/3D, Excel, Primavera etc.
  • Languages: fluent English, Cantonese, Mandarin
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 to 7 years in similar position
