Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • In charge for whole company group materials supply chain operation (include purchasing, warehouse, transportation, shipping sub-divisions).
  • Research for potential suppliers and manage relationship with existing suppliers (suppliers’ coverage with production materials, logistic and shipping service providers, etc.).
  • Negotiation with local and overseas suppliers for better price, quality, services and payment terms etc.
  • Build up KPI system to manage the team to achieve better sourcing / operation performance.
  • Implement of purchasing / warehouse / transportation / shipping policies and procedures and enhance continuous improvement.
  • Monitoring the subordinates in material sourcing or purchasing to conduct supplier delivery statistics and improvement, also carry out material follow-up effectively.
  • Co-ordinate different sub-division within the whole material control department and work closely with production department to deliver and implement solutions in master scheduling, production capacity and material management
  • Monitor the production related materials ordering and utilization. Liaise closely sales team to follow up purchase order, material authorization and production schedule. Control wastage and minimize inventory.
  • Report to Managing Director for formulate targets of each sub-divisions regularly and lead the team to achieve those targets.
  • Arrange regular training programs (with assessment) for existing or new colleagues for updated policies and procedure.
  • Become management representative of FSC-COC standard, maintain effective operation and implementation supervision of the FSC management system (both paper and wood materials)


Requirements:

  • Diploma or above in Purchasing & Supply Management / Material Engineering or related disciplines
  • At least 10 years’ experience in purchasing area with at least 5 years’ experience in large manufacturing company at managerial level experience is preferred
  • Strong management and communication skills, proactive and conscientious
  • Solid Experience in material sourcing of printing / paper products / toys and gifts industries.
  • Familiar with international standards such as ISO9001, ISO14001, GSV, RBA especially for FSC or relevant standards.
  • Experience in common ERP packages such as SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics, Flex, SUN is an absolute advantage.
  • Production / Manufacturing experience would be an added advantage
  • Strong problem solving, analytical, interpersonal, communication and team-working skills.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
