About Resolve Foundation
Resolve is one of Hong Kong’s newest non-profit organizations, founded in 2017 to provide a dynamic platform to empower future community leaders, particularly from marginalized and underrepresented groups, with the skills, network and resources for them to know, understand, and act upon their rights for the benefit of the communities they represent and foster a more inclusive Hong Kong.
We provide a signature Social Justice Fellowship Program combining leadership development, human rights education and campaigning skills. The Fellowship is now in its second year on the theme of ending gender-based violence together. Last year’s Fellowship was on racial equality and inclusion. We will announce the 2020 Fellowship theme on Human Rights Day on 10 December 2019.
Resolve stands for Rights, Equality, Solidarity, Organization, Leadership, Voice and Empowerment. Our vision is for a more inclusive Hong Kong, where every voice has a say in its future. Our fellows come from very different walks of life and have unique diversity stories and relationship to Hong Kong. Learn more about them and our work at www.resolvehk.org.
Purpose and role
Resolve is looking for a full-time Media & Communications Officer to join our growing and collaborative team, supporting our fellows to get media coverage to make their voices heard in society and communicating to a wide array of audiences the value of Resolve’s fellowship model. You are someone who has direct experience working with the press and are also a digital native.
Above all, you are a great storyteller, who loves to support grassroots people in the community to tell their story in an empowering way, with clarity, confidence, care and conviction.
