Job Description

Job Overview:

The position sits under the Retail Banking business of the Bank. The person will look after the merchant business of Credit both internally with operations, as well as externally with new clients.

This will be a 12-month on-going contract with vision to extend or convert into permanent.

Responsibilities:

Process Management

  • SLA
  • Internal: To support merchant account opening, hotline enquiry and delivery of merchant stationery in accordance with SLA and with good quality
  • External: To ensure the performance of terminal vendor / supplier to achieve pre-set SLA
  • Review and update internal procedures
  • Monitor the completeness & accuracy of relevant background checking & documentation to comply with CDD requirement
  • Coordinate with Business Unit and service providers to resolve problems and issues raised by merchants
  • Prepare relevant MIS report and update for resources reporting
  • Problem Solving
  • To review, evaluate and make decision on problems that encountered or escalate the issue if required
  • To provide feedback to management and service partners on operations that affected by changes in the business environment

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Sharing experience / comment on streamlining and automation of operations for better control and compliance with relevant internal / external regulations & compliance requirements
  • Ensure the performance of terminal service vendor are complied with outsourcing Governance Framework
  • Assist reviewing and updating Business Continuity Plan / Risk Control and Self-Assessment

Project Support

  • Review functional specification with project management team
  • Arrange user acceptance test / live verification and roll out
  • Prepare training materials

Requirements:

  • Degree holder or above
  • At least 3 years of merchant acquiring business operation experience
  • Self-initiative and good team player
  • Good interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skill
  • Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese
  • Project experience in improving production capability on a continuous basis (preferable)
