Job Description

(Project Application Development)

(Contract period up to 16 months)

Duties:

The appointee will be responsible for developing an iOS application for the e-marking module to be bundled to the Assessment Quality-assurance Platform (AQP) system; providing administrative and IT support to the testing and implementation of the system with the objective of promoting assessment for learning at schools.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering;
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in system development;
  • Hands-on experience in developing and designing Apple iOS applications, Android mobile applications and web-based platform using Java, J2EE, JSP, XML, Hibernate, Spring Framework; SQL, system UAT and data processing;
  • Experience in R programming and cyber security would be an advantage;
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese;
  • User manual writing skills both Chinese and English;
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills; and
  • Candidates with less working experience will also be considered.

Employment Terms:  The remuneration package will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Appointment will be on a fixed-term contract with contract-end-gratuity, MPF benefits, medical and dental care.  Future employment may be offered on renewable contracts subject to performance and staffing needs.
