Job Description

Operations – Operational Services Department

Hang Seng’s Operations is a team of experienced banking operations professionals who strives for delivering time-to-market, efficient and world-class processing services to customers, corporations, financial institutions and internal units.

Operational Services Department is the dedicated unit to manage and oversee vendor management function for Operations, and is responsible for the Bank's operations on central cash processing, self-service terminals, customer correspondence printing, logistics and courier, document scanning & storage, and cheque processing & payment.

 

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Operational Services Manager, Cheque Processing.

 


Principal responsibilities

  • Plan, direct and manage the daily operations of the cheque processing & payment.
  • Achieve high customer service standards and protect the Bank's interest by monitoring and controlling of daily operations
  • Oversee the risk and control of the team's operation and implement process improvement projects
  • Communicate with internal departments and external vendors to provide quality services for the Bank
  • Assist the Section Head / Head of Operational Services to drive and implement process re-engineering projects and other managerial tasks

 

Requirements

  • University Degree in Business Administration or other relevant disciplines
  • Minimum of 5 years' working experience, with experiences in vendor management and/or process excellence preferred
  • General knowledge of Bank's systems and procedures, governance and control framework
  • Good sense of operations on vendor supplied services on service domains covered by Operational Services
  • Proficiency in both English and Chinese
  • Strong self-motivation with good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes

(Candidates with less experience will be considered for the position of Operational Services Associate.)
