Job Description

Responsible for the day-to-day operations of Non-Food Procurement Team, and assist Senior Group Procurement Manager in the management and planning of all aspects of the Non-Food Procurement operations of the Group.

Responsibilities:

  • Actively source for the most appropriate products for various departments and business units within the Group, and to negotiate for the best price and supply terms, whilst maintaining continuity of supply and internal and external relations.
  • Source and procure os&e items, f&b items in accordance with material specifications, quality standard and timeline
  • Drive for Group-wide standardization of materials and equipment, and leverage on the cumulative quantity of common items across the Group as well as extending supply contract coverage to reduce total cost and administrative effort.
  • Evaluate current suppliers’ performance, and recommend new suppliers to improve competition and product mix.
  • Ensure compliance with the Group’s Procurement Policies & Procedures and suggest improvements to Procurement Operations.
  • Maintain and update Group procurement records.
  • Perform any ad hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major study in Procurement and Supply, Business Administration, Hotel Management or related discipline. Diploma in these disciplines will also be considered.
  • Minimum 3 years’ relevant purchasing experience preferably in F&B / Hotel industry with regional / global exposure
  • Self-motivated, independent, proactive and focused on quality results
  • Good problem solving, communication, leadership & negotiation skills
  • Good command of both spoken and written English, Chinese and Mandarin
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel, knowledge of Chinese Word Processing an advantage
  • Able to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks within a tight schedule
  • Willing to travel abroad if required
  • Applicants with less experience and qualification maybe considered for the post of Purchasing Officer
