As part of Product Development & Implementation team, you would focus in the development, implementation and support of in-house developed terminal operating systems. You will play an important role in deploying solutions from the corporate to overseas Business Units. You will get to work with people of different background and culture over the globe. You will be assigned to implementation project or support task in overseas. The opportunity will enhance your business and technical knowledge so that you can progress onto the next stage of your career.
Job Exposure
Through a series of on-the-job training and orientation, you will get to know the container operations practices and our terminal operating systems and be exposed to multiple business units and corporate functions of our organisation.Having studied and gained an understanding of our industry environment and business operations, you will participate in system implementation projects as well as provide post-implementation system support. You will be able to learn from our seasoned team members and a set of software development process manual covering in-house software development methodology and quality assurance program.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conduct business process and preliminary solution design together with business analyst
- Conduct functional requirement study and prepare its documentations
- Conduct system design and prepare its documentations
- Work with the project team on building / testing / maintaining, implementing, deploying and supporting application systems
- Provide user support on application systems
- Manage application releases and systems upgrade
- Provide occasional standby support service for critical situations
Desired Skills and Qualities
- University Degree holder in Computer Science, Information Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience in the application development and support
- Good understanding of systems infrastructure and architecture design
- Solid experience in Java(J2EE), HTML5 is essential
- Familiar with Javascript, Kotlin, Material Design for Boostrap 4, Selenium 3.4, Junit testing framework is an advantage
- Good knowledge in SQL, Swing & EJB is an advantage
- Hands on experience in using Intellij, Maven and git
- Exposure to Linux and HP-UX a plus
- Experience in using Weblogic and/or Oracle RAC are an advantage
- Good command of English and Putonghua
- A team player with good analytical, problem solving and communication skills, and eagerness to learn
- Willing to travel occasionally is a must
- Candidate with more experience will be considered as Analyst Programmer
