The postholder will be required to assist the Head of Student Recruitment and Community Engagement in developing institutional wide student recruitment and marketing strategy, planning and delivering outreach projects and community engagement activities in the performing arts.
Duties shall include plan and organize the marketing of outreach programme for student recruitment and community engagement; prepare and coordinate related promotional materials and publications including printed matters, website, social media updating, advertisement, and media activities; coordinate and assist in production of promotional video of the projects; assist in production-related duties in performances, seminars, rehearsals and events; liaise with organisations/institutions/schools to explore opportunities development of student recruitment and community engagement projects; and liaise with sponsors, the press and any other partners.
(a) have a degree in Communications / Marketing/Public Relations or related discipline; or equivalent;
(b) have at least 3 years of relevant work experience or substantial marketing and social media experience;
(c) have the ability to produce a variety of marketing collateral, from press releases and brochures to website copy;
(d) have solid experience in social media (Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, WeChat, and Weibo etc.);
(e) have at least 2 yearsof relevant work experience in publishing and video editing;
(f) have good computer literacy;
(g) have good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese;
(h) have strong organisational management, communication and interpersonal skills; and
(i) be a positive team player.
TERMS OF APPOINTMENT
Appointment will be made on a two-year contract, with possibility of renewal, subject to mutual agreement. A gratuity payment equal up to 10% of basic salary earned during the contract period will be payable upon satisfactory completion of contract. Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental benefits. Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
