Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities: 

  • Have overall responsibility for the QA teams
  • Review inspection schedules, manpower allocation, inspection results, other management and administrative issues
  • Conduct and plan factory evaluations
  • To take corrective action and follow up issues with factories as a result of evaluations, inspections or quality performance
  • Make realistic judgment and decisions in areas of responsibility
  • Ensure only high quality factories are approved for production
  • Make sure product quality meets or exceeds Sears standards
  • Identify quality issues in-line and correct prior to final inspection
  • Understand country of origin and outward processing arrangement process and checks
  • Manage and develop quality control teams including recruitment, orientation, coaching, training and development
  • Improve quality level and optimize quality control procedures
  • Be responsible for Strategic Auditing and follow-up
  • Be responsible for correctness and integrity of the QA database throughout the region 
  • Responsible for internal quality control inspectors' performance audit and surprise factory visits
  • Work with Sears' merchandising as well as the Country's parent sources in identifying quality issues, soliciting and monitoring correction actions plans, improving quality
  • Interact with laboratory technicians, technical design and merchandisers to resolve issues
  • Handle quality claims and failed inspections
  • Control and monitor staff travel expenses

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Clothing, Textile Merchandising or related discipline preferred
  • Minimum 10 years' relevant experience and at least 3 years’ in managerial level for USA market
  • Able to work under pressure, result oriented, excellent communication skills, self-motivated, responsive and detail minded
  • Well organized individual, able to manage multiple tasks, strong problem solving skills, handle multiple priorities in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Familiar with statistical quality control standard and application methods
  • Able to evaluate fit, construction and workmanship of Sears merchandise
  • Know consumer product quality standards, packing and marking requirements
  • Good judgment in determining quality problems and their causes, able to provide solutions
  • Proficient in English both in spoken and written
