Job Description

This individual will support APAC expansion and growth of the region, leading Record to Report (RTR) function for APAC Retail and Sourcing entities.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with third party accounting firm and lead RTR direct reports to manage the overall accounting close processes, including proper review of journal entries and certification of account reconciliations to ensure accurate and timely submission of management reports.
  • Prepare monthly APAC consolidated Balance Sheet reports with supporting schedules.
  • Review monthly P&L analysis and cash flow forecast.
  • Create KPIs to measure team performance.
  • Drive process improvement projects related to system enhancement, create and maintain SAP standard operational procedure (SOP) by partnering with global, local and IT team effectively.
  • Ensure internal audit compliance and perform quarterly Segregation of Duties (SOD) review.
  • Be a business partner with Sales, Marketing and FP&A team to provide Accounting support for any business model and throughout the budget process.
  • Perform intercompany reconciliation and work with Global Treasury team on intercompany settlement.
  • Act as the key contact point to external auditors, review any GAAP difference and drive the annual statutory audits to completion
  • Perform ad hoc tasks as assigned

Education and Experience:

  • Degree in Accounting/Finance or related discipline
  • Qualified accountant from ACCA/ HKICPA or equivalent
  • At least 8 years' accounting experiences in sizeable multinational company, with at least 3 years in supervisory role. Retail experience is a must.
  • Strong analytical skill, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise in a fast paced environment
  • Fluent in English and Chinese
  • Proficiency in PC skills, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Experience with SAP or other large ERP systems is a plus
