REPORTING TO: Managing Director, HK with functional reporting to Head of Finance, Hong Kong and HR Manager, Hong Kong
TEAM SIZE: Local Finance & Accounting person + Local HR person
OBJECTIVES: Oversee and take charge of overall Accounting and HR matters for Bangladesh and Shanghai in close coordination with the local General/Country Manager
Responsible for managing and overseeing the day-to-day accounting, financial and HR matters and budgetary control of the Bangladesh and Shanghai operations in close coordination with the local General/Country Manager
FINANCE / ACCOUNTING
To manage the Company’s financial matters including financial reporting, budget planning, treasury handling and setup procedures and policies on internal control system
Prepare monthly management accounts reports and analysis for management according to the company’s internal policy
Handle all tax matters and ensure timely reporting and compliance with tax rules and regulations
Prepare the year-end financial accounts for audit and to liaise with the Auditors in close liaison with the Head of Finance
Efficiently manage all assigned external contracts, including communication with bankers, as well to ensure that all Company’s expenditure are accurate reflected in the financial statements
Monitor the petty cash on hand and implement Standard Operating Procedures on Petty cash Handling
Assist the General/Country manager in the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecast planning
Assist in the setup of Accounting system and internal control system of the company and its representative offices
Work to ensure that the Company’s legal responsibilities are met, in particular that all necessary insurances are properly in place.
Ensure timely booking of financial statements and accounting related matters.
Streamline the operation workflow and improve efficiency
Centralize and control all documentation within the working procedures in terms of accounting and treasury
Responsible for the overall direction and control of the human resources function including, pay and benefits administration, manpower planning and staff welfare in close liaison with the General/Country Manger as well as the
Supervise the regular salary payments and maintain payroll records
Take care the individual Tax Status for all the Expats, as well as the work permit status.
Play a key role to develop further existing formulation of company policies and procedures
Support the further development of the present HR system in the local offices
A University degree holder in Accountancy or related disciplines.
Accounting professional bodies equivalent is preferred
Minimum eight (8) years solid experience on financial controlling, strategic planning at corporate level
Frequent travel to Bangladesh, Shanghai and any new office locations is mandatory
Familiar with the Local rules and regulations on legal, customs, taxation, and labor regulations is an advantage
Experience in working with different levels within the organization
Professional attitude and a strong team player with approachable manner
Good communication, strong relationship and interpersonal skills to deal with different level and countries staff
Mature, self-motivated, independent, well-organized with exceptional leadership
