Job Description

Position Summary:

Manage the operational performance and processes on behalf of one or several customers including the guidance of, monitoring of and supporting of the operational teams for a specific customer(s). The Operational Key Account Manager is ultimately responsible for the operational excellence delivered to a specific customer(s), process optimization and acts as the “bridge” between operations and the clients. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Engage various customer regions and internal teams to ensure operations issues are effectively addressed, ensuring smooth program execution
  • Monitor KPI performance, coordinate with customer and internal teams to drive process improvement
  • Support the roll out and training of the operational teams for related system applications, Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) compliance and internal working procedures focusing on increasing productivity
  • Establish and assure a continuous improvement methodology for the customer(s) managed
  • Develop, run and manage customer specific and internal KPI reporting including root cause analysis when issues arise, plus provide corrective actions/ problem resolutions for operational efficiencies and network improvement

 Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or freight forwarding apprenticeship
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in global forwarding or logistics functions, preferably with experience in managing global accounts
  • Excellent in business communication and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Good at interpersonal skills and building customer relationships at various levels.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken Cantonese, English and Mandarin
