This is a unique role where you will be part of the rapidly growing Jamie Oliver Restaurant event and sales team. Your role will be focused around two key areas – driving group party bookings and delivering an awesome guest experience. Your time will be focused on events sales and management, and you will work closely with the Head of Corporate Sales & Events to make sure the events and catering sales goals are achieved and work closely to ensure that the event strategy is aligned.

You will also take a leading position in defining and shaping the right offer for different target groups and customers, and in walking your trade-zone building relationships and sales leads.

No day will be the same, as you will have the opportunity to develop new sales leads each day. The role is dynamic and challenging, and requires a person with great communication skills and a passion for hospitality excellence and public relations. You will also be very well organised and able to respond to customers quickly and in a professional way.

This position working location will mainly be at the Causeway Bay office, but also in between Causeway Bay and TST restaurants to conduct regular site visits with prospect clients, meetings & to supervise events ensuring that operations are ready and the customer has an awesome experience.



Events and Catering Services Sales

  • Drive sales with the local neighbor-hoods in which we operate:
    • Main point of contact for small/medium events including birthday parties, local office events and regular cooking classes
    • Building mid-long-term relationships with local residences, kindergartens, schools, universities, offices and hotels to drive events like kids parties, cooking classes, graduation parties and catering sales via offices visits, sales meetings and direct sales calls
    • Support Jamie’s Partner programme by building relationships surrounding hotels and serviced apartments’ Concierge to pitch their guests’ business
    • Contribute to achieving the departmental goals via the events and catering revenue generation
    • Conduct market intelligence researches on competitors for critical analysis and insights
    • Understand client’s needs to work out customized menus and awesome events proposals
    • Work with the Kitchen team so menus offers are as practical as possible to operate in order to ensure kitchen can deliver and that clients have a great dining experiences
    • Update our events excel template with costing for each menu item, projected sales and gross profits to ensure reaching the minimum target set by the company


Events and Catering Services Management

  • Communication
    • Plan and conduct pre-event meetings with clients and Operations team to identify ways to enhance the guest experience
    • Communicate with internal parties such as management, restaurant and kitchen teams about high potential and keep updated events calendar
    • Attend weekly Sales & Marketing Meeting and follow up other eventual special projects ad-hoc tasks assigned
    • Communicate clearly with operations on all events through Event Orders and leading pre event briefings with the operations teams
  • Hosting
    • Meet and greet the clients upon arrival and make sure that they feel a Jamie-style welcome
    • Supervise the organization of post-event feedbacks collection and follow-up, identifying further business opportunities
    • Assist on a smooth execution of small/medium size events that take place at the restaurants, some exhibitions or caterings events


About You and Your Qualifications:

  • Ideally with a sales and events working experience. Food strong knowledge preferred but not required. You just need to have a passion to learn and try to anticipate what would be needed to create an awesome event experience for our customers, whether coming for a group dinner, a birthday party, a friend’s gathering or else
  • Minimum 3 years of sales work experience in hospitality preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and personally presentable – knowing what to wear
  • Enjoy working independently and willing to work flexible hours (e.g. evenings, weekends sometimes for specific events)
  • Confident in dealing with simple excel and numbers to work out food cost and menus quotations
  • Able to send out clear emails and use Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
