Job Description

Overall Objective of the Role

 

At Global Payments, a Sales Mentor works closely with a dedicated sales region. Within the region, a Mentor partners with leadership to support and train sales professionals within the first 90-days of their career. Mentors strives to uphold the Global Credo of “Service. Driven. Commerce”, while working with sales professionals to instruct on the core methodologies, coach on the Global Payments Playbook, serve as a resource, and overall provide enthusiastic support.

The Sales Mentor Team is instrumental in the success of Global sales professionals, who rely on their dedicated mentors on a weekly basis. In order to continue serving regions with excellence, this position requires individuals who are committed to and driven by serving others and investing in their success. These individuals embody an entrepreneurial spirit and are able to “run their own shop”, while contributing to the growth and development of the Mentor team. Mentors work to model the Global Way by maintaining professionalism, authenticity, and respect through all interactions with others.

 

Requirements

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with sales leadership in dedicated regions.
  • Provide resources and tools to newly hired Sales Professionals and assign them to the appropriate training.
  • Conduct weekly recurring 1:1 training calls with Sales Professionals, helping to teach Global’s core sales methodologies.
  • Track individuals’ progress in the training program and report to sales leadership.
  • Lead group trainings in an online classroom setting.
  • Pursue personal learning opportunities within the company to remain up-to-date on industry information.

 

Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable partnering with top leadership to improve training.
  • Able to effectively manage multiple responsibilities and tasks while adhering to Global’s core principles and values.
  • Problem solving, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable presenting to large groups and communicating one-to-one. Able to perform multi-task and can work under high pressure
  • Proficiency in written and spoken Cantonese, English and Mandarin
