Job Description
Senior Manager, Sales Planning and Strategy

Position Purpose

To lead the sales planning function for Asia Pacific in optimising the effectiveness of the sales force in terms of assigned accounts, quotas, prospect lists, account plans and territory management.

Job Functions

  • Manage the Quota setting process (twice per year plus ad hoc changes).
  • Analysis of history and territories
  • Collection and consolidation of account assignments
  • Lead the production of proposed quotas
  • Coordinate agreement with stakeholders
  • Ensure the accurate use of Anaplan
  • Validate the Individual Goalsheets
  • Implement the global Sales Coverage policies in APAC ensuring smooth collaboration with all stakeholders
  • Territory definition, recommendation and design
  • Compliance with global programs
  • Recommendations for improvements in coverage model
  • Manage the STAR program
  • Coordinate the vetting of prospect accounts
  • Shepherd the assignment and refreshment of prospects
  • Monitor and facilitate the activity tracking and pursuit of prospects by reps
  • Coordinate with Global functions (Sales Ops and Marketing) for improved lists
  • Ensure accurate and updated hierarchies and program tagging in SFDC Provide related reporting and analysis as required Provide input to account planning through market research and customer intelligence Contribute to Sales Operations efficiency by automating existing processes where possible.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills for report writing and presenting.  High competence in English is essential.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or other relevant area, and min 4 years of business experience
  • Minimum 1 year experience with SFDC (Salesforce.com)
  • Strong competence in MS Access / Excel, MS PowerPoint, including Excel modelling
  • Prior experience with strategic sales planning (TAM modeling, growth strategy, quota allocation, force deployment, key account planning)
  • Experience with Anaplan (development, rolling out, using for planning) will be an advantage
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively with senior level sales management
