Job Description

The job:


The successful candidate will work in our Group Financial Reporting Team of Group Finance with primary responsibility to monitor the Group’s fixed assets function.


  • Prepare the depreciation and amortization entries into the Ledger and also monitor the Group’s depreciation and amortization for Fixed assets and the related assets
  • Maintain full records for the Group’s Fixed assets and the related assets in Oracle Assets and ensure their reconciliation to the Oracle General Ledger
  • Liaise with business units for the preparation of fixed assets schedules and related GL entries
  • Assist business units to carry out annual review on assets life and assets impairment
  • Prepare schedules to support monthly tax computation and annual IRD Tax return; assist in replying tax queries
  • Involve in month end closing and prepare related schedules for management review
  • Assist in the preparation of audit schedules supporting our interim results or annual results audit
  • Liaise with external auditors and resolve accounting issues
  • Participate in ad hoc corporate projects


The successful candidate will have:

  • Degree holder in accounting or a related discipline with qualification in professional accounting body.
  • Minimum of six years’ relevant experience. Candidate with both Big4 and a listed company experience is preferred.
  • Technically competent. Familiar with the Hong Kong financial reporting standards, tax rules and listing rules in Hong Kong. 
  • Excellent in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
  • Self-motivated, independent, a team-player with good business acumen and good analytical skills
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
  • Independent and proactive with positive attitude. Able to meet tight time line in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with good analytical and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in PC applications, including MS Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint. Experience in Oracle accounting systems is required.

Candidates with more experience will be considered as Assistant Accounting Manager.
