Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • To provide high standard and timely services in accordance with the agreed internal and external Business Protocols
  • To raise the profile of JLT’s claims servicing – both internally and externally, e.g. to attend surveys and meetings, prepare and present claims analysis to clients etc.
  • To assess, negotiate and settle claims for JLT's clients independently on various classes of insurance policies, e.g. Employees' Compensation, Personal Injury, Property and Liability Insurance
  • To formulate strategies for JLT’s clients in handling complex claims
  • To communicate and liaise with clients, insurers, lawyers, adjusters and third party service providers
  • To actively follow up on all claims settlement and update JLT claims system to ensure no delay
  • To supervise and provide guidance to a team of Senior Claims Executives / Claims Executives  
  • To assist Director/Divisional Director/Assistant Director in managing the Division, e.g. to collect feedback from team members and make suggestions on enhancing claims operations
  • To assist in improving quality and efficiency of work, including workflow, claims system, and claims reports within the Claims Division

Job Requirements:

  • Holder of a relevant degree or professional qualification
  • At least 5 years’ relevant experience; candidates with more experience particularly in supervisory roles will be considered as Senior Claims Manager
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese. Proficiency in speaking Putonghua is an advantage
  • Good knowledge of insurance and claims management
  • Good knowledge of the Employees’ Compensation Ordinance, legal and regulatory framework
  • Good people management skills
  • Problem solving and solutions driven
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Good communication and account servicing skills
  • PC literate in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Successful candidates may be required to work on-site at client's office, e.g. Hong Kong International Airport
