OFFICE OF FACULTY OF CONSTRUCTION AND ENVIRONMENT
Senior Executive Officer (Ref. 19040206-E2)
The appointee will be required to:
(a) oversee the administration of research grants and programmes of the Faculty;
(b) assist in the planning and monitoring of the research budget of the Faculty;
(c) assist in quality assurance exercises;
(d) draft/prepare policy papers, marketing and publicity materials as well as other publications;
(e) provide secretarial service to committees and working groups;
(f) facilitate smooth co-ordination and organization of activities of the University/Faculty;
(g) liaise with University's internal departments, external organizations and students, and handle the enquiries from these parties;
(h) supervise the general supporting staff of the Faculty Office; and
(i) perform any other duties as assigned by the Dean of Faculty and the Faculty Secretary or their delegates.
Applicants should have:
(a) a recognised degree;
(b) at least eight years of solid administrative and supervisory experience; preference will be given to those with experience in research administration/tertiary education institutions;
(c) an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage;
(d) excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills;
(e) good computer literacy;
(f) experience in budgetary planning and control and financial management; and
(g) the quality of being a good team player, and the ability to work independently and under pressure to meet tight time-lines.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written language proficiency test.
Remuneration and Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement. Applicants should state their current and expected salary in the application.
