Job Description

The incumbent is reporting to the Executive Director locally and to the Global HR Director functionally, the Senior Human Resources Manager is responsible for providing a full range of human resources (HR) services to support the operation of Hong Kong, Macau and Singapore offices, in alignment with Orbis’s Global HR policies and practices and local laws and regulations.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. TALENT ACQUISITION & ONBOARDING: Develop and implement recruitment and orientation programs to meet the human resources needs of the organization.
  2. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Ensure compensations and benefits are competitive in attracting, motivating and retaining staff.
  3. TALENT MANAGEMENT: Design and implement successful talent management programs that ensure Orbis’s human capital needs are met effectively and efficiently.
  4. EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT & RELATIONS: Develop and implement employee engagement programs to promote a healthy work environment, improve employee satisfaction, and reduce organizational liabilities.
  5. EMPLOYMENT POLICIES AND PRACTICES: Ensure HR policies and employment practices reflect the policies, values and culture of Orbis and align with applicable laws and regulations. Act as an advisor to Orbis managers on people management.
  6. HR ADMINISTRATION & PAYROLL: Ensure effective and efficient day-to-day HR operations, ranging from payroll, benefits administration, HR data maintenance, to HR MIS, etc.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • University graduate in HR related discipline.
  • At least 8 years’ experience in HR Management, with 2 to 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role
  • Well versed with the employment related legislation. Prior experience with NGO or non-profit organizations a plus.

  

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, diplomatic, team orientation and able to build the rapport with staff at all levels
  • Flexible, pro-active and open-minded in addressing issues and identifying solutions
  • Work effectively under stress and in a demanding environment
  • High proficiency in verbal and written English and Chinese, including the knowledge of Mandarin
  • Strong computer skills.
