Job Description

The Department

The IT Strategy and Governance Department manages and drives new strategies for overall IT planning, manage strategic relationship with the business and external partners, oversee project management office, standards and resourcing, implement enterprise architecture and demand and release management.

 

 The Job

You will :

  • Build and manage the IT Release Calendar and cycles, across the Portfolios
  • Coordinate release content submissions
  • Communicate release details and schedules to the Business as required
  • Communicate all key project plans, commitments, and changes
  • Conduct Release Readiness; Milestone; and Business Go/No-Go reviews
  • Lead and co-ordinate Go-Live activities
  • Work with Project managers and IT Infrastructure Operations to produce Deployment, Run Books and Implementation Plans
  • Negotiate, plan and manage all release activities, across the Operational Initiatives which span a multi-year planning cycle

 

About You

You should have:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 2-6 years of previous release and/or project management experience, (Solid understanding of project management principles preferred)
  • 8-10 years of experience in information systems operations environment in systems analysis or development
  • Formal training in project management practices preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion
  • Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills are a must
  •  General PC knowledge including Microsoft Office expert level knowledge of Excel, working Knowledge of Access
  • Exposure to Project and Portfolio Management tools (for example HP Project and Portfolio Management; PPM)

 

Terms of Employment

The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. A contract employment will be offered to the successful candidate. Contract renewal will be subject to mutual agreement between the Club and the individual.
