Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage projects by working with Chief Claims Officer, Lines of businesses and any other key stakeholders
  • Lead a team of experts working in various operational roles/functions – Fraud, Recovery, QA and Governance, Customer, Projects/analysis and Business Analysis
  • Responsible for the development and delivery of routine and ad hoc reporting, data analysis, and insights
  • Provide senior-level consultation to internal business units or external customers/brokers to support day-to-day decisions, strategic planning and specific business performance issues
  • Address development needs within the claims teams as identified and act on opportunities to support process/workflow improvement for all Claims teams
  • Support and ensure that multiple projects across the department work through project life cycle
  • Provide guidance and support for team members
  • Partners with Line of Business managers to assist with identification of areas requiring review and improvement to achieve a high level of efficiency and effectiveness
  • Identify day to day capability gaps, mentoring claims operation staff and seek out resources to resolve performance issues to fulfill the customer proposition.
  • Assess and appoint claims vendors within agreed authority limits aligned to the organization´s Claims Vendor Management strategy

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent with minimum 8 years experience in Claims and project management
  • Proven track record of successful project management on small to mid-sized but complex projects
  • Solid knowledge of General Insurance; good understanding & knowledge in Fraud, Recovery, QA and Governance, Project Management, IT, Vendor Management and Recovery is highly preferred
  • Understanding of operation workflow / procedures in various GI functions; knowledge of specific  business lines, products and functions services is a plus
  • Knowledge of various lines of business and functional activities in Claims
  • Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma is a plus
  • Presentable and able to communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
  • Good interpersonal skills and communication skills
  • Strong problem solving and analytic skills combined with a strong command in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Self organized and good planning ability
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and train; must be able to conduct group and one-on-one training
