Job Description

We have a 12-month opportunity for an experienced finance manager to deliver financial reporting and financial management for a leading global general insurer. This role will also play a key role in various strategic project initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a background in insurance, underwriting or insurance brokering with prior experience in financial reporting/ month-end closing.


  • Maintain accurate, timely and relevant financial data and reports across all business units
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations every month and ensure accounting is in compliance with accounting standards
  • Assist in the month end processing of general ledger accounts including processing month end journals
  • Drive business planning activities including annual budgeting and regular forecasting
  • Work with the business from a finance perspective regarding business initiatives or projects
  • Review and challenge the financial performance
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to provide management reports and commentary


  • Degree holder and CPA qualified
  • Minimum 6 years of accounting experience gained in insurance companies
  • Excellent command in spoken and written Cantonese, English and Mandarin
  • Solid financial analytical and reporting skills
  • Ability to translate complex business requirements into easily understood reports
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • High level of attention to details
  • Pro-active, mature, well-organised and an excellent team player
  • Able to multi-task, prioritse work load and work in a fast paced environment
