Job Description

Responsible for:
- Developing and implementing sourcing governance, and analytics
- Developing strategy and executing category management sourcing activities and cost management initiatives across AIA

Sourcing Policy and Governance

  • Develop process/guidelines to support implementation of the policies and charter of Sourcing team.

  • Communication and training to business users and BU.

  • Manage GFS and Sourcing system tools (e.g. Ariba)

Management Information and Analytics

  • Produce management information and analytics for Sourcing

  • Drive standardization in data and reports in GO and BU

Category Management 

  • Develop long-term and annual category plan that sets short, medium and long term goals and objectives of the assigned category.

  • Directly drive high value projects

  • Engage support and agreement from key stakeholders on how to implement the strategy.
  • Promote effective management of suppliers to sustain value throughout the life of the contract.

  • Reviewing service areas and potential supplier rationalization

  • Sourcing Activities Execution

  • Responsible for sourcing execution including but not limited to internal requirement analysis, supply market analysis, sourcing strategy development, competitive bidding process, negotiation and contract review.

  • Commits to and delivers an annual savings target for managed spend, savings to be tracked in accordance with the benefits tracking guidelines

  • Provide sourcing direction and guidance to stakeholders and in-country procurement teams for the responsible categories/project/request.

  • Identify and deliver cost savings opportunities
  • Supplier Management

  • Define and manage key supplier relationships to support business functions to ensure delivery as well as to drive breakthrough performance in cost, service and quality

  • Support key supplier management strategy with leading business owners


  • Lead or support projects such as act as business lead of Ariba design or other ad-hoc projects.
