Job Description

The current role will expose the candidate to a breadth of experience in the private medical sector in Hong Kong. The ideal candidate will be a healthcare professional (eg: doctor, nurse, pharmacist, other allied health professional), with a keen interest in management. The ability to juggle multiple duties spanning medical management, clinic operations through to business development is a must. A summary of job duties are as below:

Medical management
  • Oversee administration of clinical staff (eg: doctors, physiotherapists, etc.) across clinics throughout Hong Kong
  • Work closely with clinical director to ensure clinical safety of all Raffles’ Hong Kong medical activities
    • Writing and review of protocols
    • Ensure implementation of protocols under operationally sound circumstances
    • Liaison with relevant health authorities and clients regarding medical issues
  • Provide medical advice/perspective to management when considering new initiatives/products
  • Responsible for daily operations of clinics situated on premises of key clients
  • Complaint handling and final authority over day-to-day operations
Corporate Services
  • Lead team in maintaining current business relationships
    • Consolidate business and find opportunities for new collaborations
  • Hunting for new opportunities in context of evolving medical landscape
  • Key contact for strategic partners (both clients and vendors)
    • Relationship management
    • Regular meetings
  • Support third party administration department on day-to-day operations
  • Onsite health talks
  • Support entire chain for project-based initiatives

Job Requirements
  • Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
  • Professional health background (eg: doctor, nurse, allied health professional); overseas experience accepted; > 5 years clinical experience preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of local medical marketplace (outpatient and inpatient), including service delivery, insurance coverage, corporate medical and third-party administration
  • Demonstrated background as a confident and influential public speaker with high level formal writing and presentation skills.
  • Comfortable leading client-facing presentations relating to various client needs (eg: budgeting, medical complaints, new initiatives, etc.)
  • Experience in tender submission for corporate clients, procurement policy and the development of strategic initiatives.
  • Experience in contract management, client development, product customization, project management and dispute resolution processes.
  • Experience in managing daily clinic operations including staff rostering, drug procurement and ad-hoc incident management
  • Familiar with Hong Kong drug office regulations, private healthcare facilities ordinance and associated medical association guidelines
  • Skilled in data analysis and interpretation of statistical data with the ability to synthesize metrics into actionable corporate initiatives
  • Experience in leading multi-disciplinary team with ability to juggle multiple projects
  • Willingness to work round-the-clock to support company and clinics
