Job Description

 

Job Role 

We seek an experienced product manager to lead our small-sized/consumer robot development and management, in collaboration with our hardware, software, arts, and executive teams.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Define product requirements including functionalities, features, and user experience and play pattern for a line of consumer and home robots.
  • Plan and manage the entire product lifecycle from ideation to development to deployment to end-of-life execution.
  • Proactively engage with industry experts, customers, and go-to-market partners to understand and validate market requirements for products.
  • Deliver market requirements document defining market opportunities, target market, functionalities and features, usage scenarios, and action plan for each product.
  • Plan and coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors; manage project plan, timeline, cost, deliverables, to drive completion of products within scope for commercial deployment.
  • Manage the profit-and-loss of product line, including managing budgets, defining financial model, determining pricing, and managing margin structure.
  • Act as product evangelist for product line among internal and external stakeholders, including customers, channel partners, systems integrators, third-party developers, etc.
  • Manage and facilitate the successful deployment of products from proof-of-concept testing to commercial rollout.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Required: a BA or above degree in computer science, engineering, or related science field.

  • At least two years’ experience as product developer or product manager of electronic toys, smart devices, consumer robots, and other relevant products.

  • At least five years’ experience in managing the development and rollout of products launched commercially in the U.S./global markets with proven success.

  • Very strong organization, creativity, and people skills are required, with ability for agile thinking and coordinating individuals from diverse disciplinary and cultural backgrounds.
