Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Establish new customer centric planning capabilities within the regional merchandising team, driving mutual profitability between Vans and our strategic partners.
  • Partner closely with Strategic Account Teams in NORA and EMEA on a seasonal basis to share assortment plans, strategies, and best practices.
  • Create strategic account merchandising strategies on a seasonal basis that support the global product vision and regional marketplace strategy.
  • Lead customer product briefs on a seasonal basis, consolidating information and clearly communicating customer priorities to regional category leads. Build seasonal Style/SKU count to financial plans.
  • Work alongside Sales / Key Account Managers to identify, on an ongoing basis, the opportunities to leverage sales growth through a directed head to toe offering of strategic product categories.
  • Ensure Go To Market (GTM) integration between Product and Sales teams as well as coordinate product strategy planning with APAC marketing team.
  • Understand and analyze APAC market trends, shifts, drivers, and downturns, and provide feedback to Product, Sales and Marketing teams to continuously improve product plans and GTM tools.
  • Represent the APAC region in all product meetings, from pre-lines and product briefings to market trips and line reviews.
  • Understand and embrace industry, consumer, customer, and culture, including our marketplace positioning.
  • Gather, compile and share market analysis (catalogues, price lists, etc.) through regional team connections.

Requirements:

  • Degree holder
  • 5+ years of related professional experience within the footwear and/or apparel/accessory industry
  • Microsoft- especially Powerpoint and Excel
  • FlexPLM experience desired
  • Enovia experience desired
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to present, to think and act strategically
  • Comfortable in self-starter environment 
  • Ability to work/communicate with all levels within the organization 
  • Develop collaborative and diverse relationships 
  • Ability to make decisions with gravity which may have significant business implications 
  • Ability to motivate and influence cross-functional departments to work together towards results 
  • Analytical skills: Working knowledge of line planning, forecasting, sales data, and market trends
  • Willingness to travel extensively through the region and to the USA on an ongoing basis
  • Bend, lift, open and move product depending on need
