Global Banking – Relationship Management


Hang Seng's Global Banking business provides a broad spectrum of financing solutions to large corporations and financial institutions. We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Senior Relationship Manager.



Principal responsibilities


  • To assist and deputize the Head of Relationship Management Department including but not limited to strategies implementation in relation to the assets and liabilities matters as well as on achievement of the assigned departmental business targets
  • To be both an independent contributor and, as the case may be, a people manager for a cluster of Relationship Manager / Relationship Officer / Relationship Support Officer and to provide coaching and guidance to them on both marketing and credit capabilities
  • Establish and maintain close customer contacts and mutual understanding to flourish relationship, deliver excellent services and acquire updated information on customers’ business/financing needs
  • Structure credit facilities and prepare credit proposals in a timely and professional manner, under the constraints of credit / lending policies
  • Negotiate with clients on facility terms in order achieve thorough understanding of their businesses, financing requirements and market conditions
  • Improve the loan portfolio mix and maintain the loan assets at quality level by conducting credit assessment of customers’ financing requests in a professional manner; monitoring credit risk regularly; and taking necessary actions promptly and appropriately
  • Expand customer base in order to increase the Bank’s market share in the segment
  • Prepare facility documentation according to credit approvals and market standards
  • Manage operational risks, including identification, assessment, mitigation and controls
  • Carry out sales and marketing of non-lending banking products with an objective to maximize the Bank’s profitability



  • University degree in Business Management, Banking, Finance, related discipline or other relevant qualifications
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in credit analysis, sales and marketing, and customer relationship management
  • Strong sales and customer service orientation, with self-motivation and ability to work under pressure
  • Sound communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Strong sense of ownership
  • Proficiency in both English and Chinese, fluency in Putonghua is a must
  • High level of customer centricity mindset with dedication to deliver exceptional quality services for customers

(Candidates with less experience may be considered for the position of Relationship Manager.)
