Job Description

Our client is a European fast-moving product licensee, representing leading global brands. Being a market leader in designing, producing, and selling branded garments, the company’s products are known for innovation and high quality. 

Direct reporting to:                
Head of Sales APAC

Function:
Sales, Business Development – for body wear, legwear and swimwear

GOAL: Manage the accounts (wholesalers, distributors and licensees) for two key brands within APAC. Achieve set target and sustainable net sales growth across the region. Increase the business share within existing sales channels and stores. Develop a new distribution plan and acquire new distributors to penetrate the region and launch new categories successfully.    

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the company’s key accounts in Australia, China and Taiwan. Drive the continued growth of legwear and bodywear business within the key account sales channel; prepare and ensure the successful launch of the swimwear business
  • Act as first point of contact for branded legwear accounts in APAC; manage seasonal sell-in process, increase number of POS coverage and achieve sales growth target  
  • Work with customers to develop business plan, formulating strategies and action plans to meet regional business objectives
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting and price study  
  • Show GTM leadership through preparation and delivery of compelling and inspirational assortments, tools and integrated presentations at tradeshows and customer meetings
  • Conduct regular business review meetings with all customers e.g. product performance, sell-thru, promotions and marketing activities, to ensure business targets are met
  • Assist HOS on sales administration, analysis and potential new business for APAC on a daily basis
  • Internally work closely with the overseas Head Quarter team regarding products and APAC marketing team, to facilitate good understanding and support of APAC markets
  • Generate an in-depth understanding of the categories such as consumer trends, market size, competitors and retail landscape
  • Maintain strong relationship with the accounts to increase the company’s business share

Experience/ Requirements

  •  Bachelor degree or above

  • 5 - 8 years of sales and business development experience in the APAC region, preferably gained in the sports apparel/footwear/fashion industry

  • Experience gained with global Wholesalers or international FMCG companies is a plus

  • Possess commercial acumen combined with good analytical skills and attention to details

  • Well-developed communication and negotiation capabilities, able to influence others

  • Being a team player with a positive attitude, adaptable and having an always learning spirit

  • Language Skills: fluent in English and Mandarin

  • IT knowledge: well versed in the application of PowerPoint, Excel, & other Office applications.

  • Travel time:   30% (post pandemic)
