Job Description

Our client is one of the premium skincare/beauty brand, looking for the Sales Manager/Senior Sales Manager to lead the growing business in local market. To lead and develop the sales organisation including frontline staff to establish strong brand image / presence for HK at retail level and maximise the retail sales / share to achieve business objectives determined by brand.

Main Responsibilities

Sales Management

  • Develop sell in / sell thru targets and closely manage sales performance (by counter/ by product) to reach the national sales target and key performance indicators (e.g. share / ranking / inventory / DSO)
  • Close tracking of key product launches and promotion event results, together with update on competitor & market activities to management
  • Lead retail team to ensure efficient order taking and stock processing to safeguard optimum inventory at store level
  • Work closely with Marketing to review on new product forecast, develop and execute promotional activities to maximise the sales and exposure of key product launches

Sales Force Management

  • Work closely with Training team to review the performance of frontline staff and derive development plan and essential training program led by Training division. Personally coach and develop retail team
  • Responsible for BC succession and recruitment planning to identify the best-qualified candidates who can represent the brand image and grow within the brand
  • Design and enhance local salary system and incentive programs to be goal-driven and motivating for frontline staff

Retail Excellence Management

  • Lead and develop retail team and frontline staff to improve retail excellence. Cultivate organisation practice with regular counter visit report
  • Work closely with Training to ensure frontline staff following retail management fundamentals to fully express brand values through the service
  • Enforce regular control of POS merchandising, promotion events and operating conditions up to standard and in line with central guidelines

Trade Negotiation

  • Instore activity planning and execution (HPP / AP / beauty class)
  • Assist GM to explore opportunities for new door expansion and counter / lease renewal to deliver strong retail presence

Budget Management

  • Plan and control related cost centres by working closely with SSC and ensure expense spent within planned budget with continuous improvement in cost efficiency

Person Specification

  • Degree holder with at least 8 years of retail management experience in sales & operations
  • Preferably in cosmetics or luxury products or higher segment consumer goods
  • Strong interest, passion and knowledge in beauty retail business
  • Experienced in successfully developing and motivating a high performance team with strong leadership and people management skills
  • Self-motivated and result-oriented individual with good interpersonal, communication & negotiation skills
  • A result-driven achiever with ambition, motivation and dynamism to steer the team towards the business end vision
  • Innovative and able to work in a highly competitive environment and under pressure
  • Business analytical and strategic mindset with a can-do attitude
  • Keep update with latest market and business trends
  • Excellent command of written and spoken Chinese and English
