ABOUT THIS TEAM

Inbound logistics team is overseeing the Global Transportation from manufacturing factory locations in Asia to global distribution center locations including North America, Europe, Oceania and Asia (HK).  The goal for the team is to ensure the merchandize will be delivered to the right place on schedule according to our business needs.

 

A DAY IN THE LIFE

A day in the life of a logistics specialist – Asia origin operations,

 

  • Reporting to inbound logistics manager, based in Hong Kong
  • Responsible for the overall performance of assigned lanes.  Includes OTP, LSPs, factories and any other relevant KPIs.
  • Work closely with LLO partners on strategies and initiatives and lead implementation as relevant to assigned lanes.
  • Lead optimization opportunities within assigned lanes.  Includes partnering with manager / LSPs / production and identifying and executing opportunities.
  • Lead relationships with factories.  Includes improving performance on vendor scorecards, on-boarding, training and any other reporting / communications required.
  • Responsible for shipping order approvals that follow our inbound SOPs and sets up for success the destination teams.
  • Actively participate in QBRs and other cross functional meetings to properly represent logistics and assigned lanes.
  • Travel in Asia may be needed, but not often.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5 years working experience with in logistic operations
  • University graduate in logistics management or related disciplines is preferred.
  • Computer literate (Microsoft office applications and outlook)
  • An understanding and practical knowledge of retail environment and international transportation
  • international freight forwarding – World Geography, Customs Clearance and Regulations, Tariff, NAFTA rules and other trade partnerships, FTA, Incoterm, and financial terms.
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Mandarin (Hong Kong) language skill is a plus
  • Experience in the regional logistics department of a major retailer is a plus
