Strategic Planning Manager

We are seeking an exceptional strategist who is passionate about delivering sustainable competitive advantage to grow and transform businesses. This position will lead the delivery of true excellence in integrated strategy, developing integrated digital, communication, creative and media strategies and increasingly on digital products and services.

It is your role to ask the right questions to gain insight into consumer behaviour in order to deliver brilliant data-driven solutions which meet our clients’ objectives.

You will apply your brand, market, consumer, data, media and creative understanding to deliver business value and clear and concise communication frameworks. Working with specialist teams to develop a clear data-driven campaign strategy and justify its expected delivery against client objectives and or key performance indicators.

Role Responsibility

  • Deliver world class strategy to our key clients, being responsible ultimately for delivering business value to our clients through data-driven integrated communication and media strategy
  • Deliver outstanding thought leadership that showcase strategic thinking as a business differentiator.
  • Critically assess and interpret consumer behaviour and its economic, technical and psychological context to derive insights.
  • Define highly effective Channel Planning briefs and work with Channel Planners and creative to deliver a truly integrated and holistic strategy.
  • Extract business requirements, objectives and challenges, and convert them into opportunities for the client and for the organization.
  • Ability to deliver work end-to-end managing expectations both internally and with clients
  • Work closely with internal and external partners/stakeholders to deliver integrated responses.
  • Provide performance updates, and responding to requests for information or strategic courses
  • Proactively guide and mentor your fellow strategists to create data-driven media and creative strategies including but not limited to digital-brand-communication, consumer experience, communication and messaging approaches

 

The Ideal Candidate

As an inspirational figure, you’ll be building senior client relationships and challenging and developing briefs to push media up the business agenda.

You will be extremely capable across the board and move with ease between data, consumers and ideas. With an appetite for new learning and driving change you will be a trusted partner for clients and a strong leader amongst the team.

You will have 6+ years of relevant experience and a great track record of building brands through a range of approaches, including advertising, social media, CRM, search, innovation, and media and connections planning.

Demonstrated ability for delivering strategic solutions AND rolling up your sleeves to bring those solutions to life, as well as leading clients into new strategic areas.

  • Able to present to senior level clients and peers.
  • Effective influencers both internally and externally.

  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, problem-solving and negotiation skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communications in English (Chinese is preferable)
  • Proven ability to collaborate, develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external teams especially at C-levels
