Job Description

Job Responsibilities 

 

Work with multi-disciplinary team members in Hong Kong and the United Kingdom, to ensure the smooth daily operation of enquiries, pre-sales and post-sales customer service activities.

 

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

 

Provide high quality customer service as ‘front of house’:

 

  • meeting and greeting parents and students
  • assisting with customer enquires
  • providing a high level of customer service

 

Handle walk-in enquiries, calls and customer follow-up in order to maintain valuable relationships with clients:

 

  • Understand services and available packages
  • Promote the company’s services and products to prospective customers
  • Provide professional advice and guardianship information to parents of students who want to study in the UK.
  • Establish a long-term rapport with students and parents

  

Handle daily sales operations:

 

  • diary management (arranging appointments and maintaining a schedule)
  • quotation preparation
  • application arrangement, including document management (data entry and filing)
  • prepare documents in advance for the Centre Manager (HK) or Head of Operations (UK)
  • provide administrative support, including handling daily incoming correspondence, telephone calls and other receptionist duties
  • Follow up on sales and customer enquiries

 

Undertake translation:

assist with the translation of Chinese/English documents

Other duties:

Perform any ad-hoc duties and projects as assigned and participate in seminars, events and marketing activities, as required.

 

Job Requirements

 

UK study experience is preferred in either boarding school or university; with 3-years work experience.  Please note, we will only consider candidates with a minimum of 1-years experience in administration and customer service.

 

Bachelor degree

 

Have a passion for education 

 

Working experience in sales/ customer service /education is an advantage 

 

Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills in Cantonese and English (plus Mandarin would be advantageous)

 

Self motivated, able to work independently, responsible, service- orientated and hard-working 

 

Fluency in spoken and written Cantonese and English is essential, as well as Mandarin is preferable 

 

Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint

 

Experience of using a CRM system would be an advantage

 

Able to manage paperwork, data collection and data entry 

 

Available immediately is preferable

James-Lee Consultancy (JLC) and their teams are a caring and friendly guardianship organisation in the United Kingdom (UK) and Hong Kong, providing guardianship and welfare services.  Many members of our staff are multilingual and are former international students themselves. The JLC Guardianship Team act as ‘in loco parentis’ for students whilst they are studying in the UK and more importantly, they serve as mentors and ‘大哥哥’ and ‘大姐姐’ for our Students. The Accommodation Team ensures every accommodation provided to students has been thoroughly inspected and that students are accommodated in a safe, comfortable and clean environment.

JLC deals with all educational matters including: providing guardianship services, support and advice for students while they are in the UK, attending school functions, arranging tutoring and accommodation placements. We work with students, parents and legal guardians, overseas agents and schools to ensure that each student under our care has the best possible support network while they are studying in the UK.

Our staff attend regular training sessions to ensure that their knowledge in education and child welfare is up-to-date.
