About HKDI-PEEC

Professional Education and Engagement Centre (PEEC), a self-financed Centre under HKDI (a flagship Design Institution under Vocational Training Council (VTC), is a recognised professional training provider for the creative industries in Hong Kong. We offer a wide spectrum of award-bearing and non-award-bearing courses, international executive programmes and seminars, covering architecture, BIM, branding, digital media, fashion and photography, film and TV production, interior design, music, etc. Our target audiences are professionals, corporations, academic institutions, government departments, and the public. The purpose is to develop creativity and talent, multidisciplinary knowledge and skills, cross over of ideas and practices for business growth and career advancements.
 
Major Duties:
(a) To perform administrative duties in the following areas:
  (i) administrative academic support (e.g. student admissions, student record activities, quality assurance, qualifications registration, and matters relating to course planning and operations);
  (ii) financial and supplies matters (e.g. financial reports, budget and costing, stocktaking reports, procurement);
  (iii) handling of the matters of financial assistance schemes, including CEF, NTTS, ENLS, etc., in terms of course applications, course registrations and amendments;
  (iv) human resources management; and
  (v) general administration and facilities managements;
(b) To liaise with all relevant internal and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth operation of the Centre and courses;
(c) To prepare reports for various committees, boards and meetings;
(d) To assist in overseeing project budget, proposals and agreements;
(e) To supervise and coordinate the work of clerical and supporting staff to ensure effective operation and management of the Centre;
(f) To assist in the formulation, implementation and review of operational policies, systems and procedures; and
(g) To support the planning and implementation of marketing and promotional activities.
 
Requirements:
(a) A recognized degree in business / administration / accounting / management / social sciences or related disciplines;
(b) At least 2 years’ relevant work experience, preferably in higher education and continuing education sectors;
(c) Experience in supervising a small team would be an advantage;
(d) Good understanding of the Council’s operation and various administration systems;
(e) Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua;
(f) Good computer proficiency in MS Office applications especially in Excel, and Chinese Word Processing;
(g) Skills in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign would be an advantage;
(h) Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills; and
(i) Proactive, hardworking, responsible, able to be multi-tasking and work independently.
 
Notes:
(1) Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend a written test in both English and Chinese.
(2) Successful candidate may be required to work on shift / outside normal office hours.
(3) Immediately available would be an advantage.
