About the Team

Treasury Operation Section is responsible for Settlement Operations for Treasury/Market, Derivatives and Securities Investment Transactions.

 

Role requirements

  • Handle Treasury derivatives products’ operations and settlements, related operational support and administrations as well as reporting.

Essential Functions

  • Perform routine checking / approval operations to the derivatives transactions and, where necessary, to share the clerical/logistic tasks, including but not limited to, deals processing/scanning/filing and etc.
  • Monitor and control operating risk factors and mitigate operating risks
  • Administrate the settlement related activities like administration of trade counterpart records, AML processing, trades reconciliation, nostro accounts funds movement monitoring, intra-day liquidity control, trade confirmations tracing, trade repository reporting & etc.
  • Participate in the Section’s business development, system enhancement & operation excellence projects

Competencies

  • To proactively manages regular work without Department Head's instruction and handles irregular cases by obtaining necessary information and analyzing previous cases;
  • To provide guidance/feedback to junior staff where necessary;
  • To respect for and commit to high standards of business conduct and integrity in conducting operations/reporting, etc.

Work experience, education and skills

  • Bachelor Degree in Business Administration/Finance/Economics or related discipline;
  • 1-2 years’ relevant experience in Derivatives (Interest Rate Swap, Currency Swap, Currency Option & etc.) operations/settlements & subordinates’ supervision;
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
