Our client is a global investment bank with a well-established presence in the region. A need has arisen to recruit an experienced Employee Relations professional to be based in their Hong Kong office.
This key position will support on a broad spectrum of employee relations and conduct related issues across APAC. Main responsibilities will include helping to build the ER framework, enhancing processes/improving efficiencies within the team as well as managing the functions of HR Risk & Compliance to ensure policies and procedures are implemented consistently. You will also be involved in but not limited to project management, data analytics, case support, and acting as the focal point to build relationships with key internal stakeholders. In addition, this senior hybrid position will help to provide specialist advice and guidance to HR generalists and the business on the understanding, ownership and application of all aspects of employment legislation, procedural compliance and best practices.
The successful candidate will be degree educated with a consistent strong track record of prior involvement in managing complex ER related issues. An understanding of employment law, local ordinance and HR processes will be highly advantageous; alternatively you will possess a relevant HR generalist background with strong ER experience. Most importantly, you will exercise sound judgment and interpersonal skills, understanding the need for total discretion, professionalism and confidentiality, when handling often sensitive cases. Above all, you must have the passion, resilience, energy and credibility to deal with a challenging, set-up role. Fluency in English is essential.
